SUMMARY

Registers patients brought to clinic by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

After a 90 day introductory period employee is required to utilize and manipulate Greenway applications in a fashion requested by the Administrator, Supervisor, and Partners to retain employment

Respond to tasks from Greenway’s Patient Portal

Promptly answers phone calls directing call to proper area or person in a professional and courteous manner.

 

Schedules patient appointments with doctors, lab and nurses according to office scheduling guidelines

 

Cancel or reschedule appointments as needed by parents or the doctors

 

Checking patients in and out for appointments and receiving co-pays and deductibles

 

Capture and enter computer data changes with regards to insurance, address, phone numbers and any other necessary information

 

Take original or update patient photos according to office guidelines

 

Maintain the doctor’s PE waitlist; adding, scheduling and deleting patient’s as needed

 

Create tasks from patient phone calls and direct to proper recipient

 

Direct billing/collection /insurance calls to the appropriate biller

 

Balance excel spread sheet with charges and receipts

 

Scan documents into Greenway system. Fax documents as needed

 

Greet customer/patient in a polite and friendly manner

 

Be respectful, courteous, and pleasant with staff, patients, and parents

 

Obtain information, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed

 

Meet responsibilities as designated by supervisor or administrator for Queue

 

Maintain reception and work areas and keep clean and organized

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Graduate with computer, typing experience and medical office experience preferred.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

PROFICIENCY

Typing test proficiency required and must attain 30 words per minute
